Managing SMS, Email and Robocall Notification Preferences for Municipal Users

Municipal User Management of Resident Notifications

Municipal users, responsible for managing resident notifications, have the capability to manually adjust notification preferences for resident users from within the Construction Site App. Here's how:

    1. Access the App: Log in to the Munical-facing Construction Site App.

    2. Locate the "Manage Residents" Tab: You'll find the "Manage Residents" tab on the left navigation bar of the app.

    3. Find the Resident User: Search for the resident user whose notification preferences you want to modify within the "Manage Residents" section.

    4. Edit the Resident User's Profile: Click on the "Action" button located on the right side of the resident user's profile.

   

    5. Adjust Notification Preferences: Once you've entered the resident user's profile, you will have the option to select and adjust their notification preferences. This includes checkboxes for SMS, email, and robocall notifications.

    6. Save Changes: After making the necessary adjustments, click the "Submit" button to save the resident user's updated notification preferences.


Municipal Users should always ensure they have the Resident User's consent before modifying their notification preferences.


Resubscribing Resident Users to Notifications

If a resident user has previously unsubscribed from notifications but wishes to receive them again, municipal users or resident users can make changes to the notification preferences in the resident user's profile. However, please note that resubscribing to SMS notifications involves an additional step:

  1. SMS Resubscription: To resubscribe a resident user to SMS notifications, they will need to reply with "START" to the municipality's notification phone number, which can be found at the bottom of the left navigation bar. This step is specific to resubscribing to SMS notifications.
