Our resident bulk upload feature simplifies the process of creating multiple resident accounts by facilitating the input of large volumes of data. This feature is particularly useful in scenarios such as public meetings where some users may not be comfortable with technology or the standard QR code self-enroll feature.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Access the admin portal and navigate to the "Manage Residents" tab. Locate and click on the "Download File Format" button to retrieve the Excel template.

Step 2: Open the downloaded Excel template and refer to Sheet 1 titled "Instructions" for comprehensive guidance on utilizing the bulk upload feature. Familiarize yourself with the provided information before proceeding further.

Step 3: Switch to Sheet 2 titled "Template", click "Enable Editing" if you have to, and populate the fields with the residents' information.

      Additional guidelines for:

  • Cell Phone and Landline fields: Input cell phone and landline numbers without dashes, utilizing only numerical digits and including the area code for a complete 10-digit number. Exclude the country code (+1) as our system supports only United States phone numbers.
  • Address Number, Street Name, City, State, and Zip fields: Accuracy in addresses is critical for effective notification processing. Ensure that addresses are complete and recognized by Google Maps for optimal functionality.
  • Email?, SMS?, and Robocalls? fields: Utilize these columns to specify notification preferences. Emails are set as the default notification type, but users can select any combination of email, SMS, or robocall messages by marking an 'X' in the respective column.

Step 4: Verify the accuracy of all entered information. Save the file by selecting "File" in Excel.

Click "Save As", then click "Browse" and navigate to the folder you want the this to be saved to, choose "CSV (Comma delimited)" for the file type and click Save.

This will take you to the active sheet, which should be the sheet 2 titled "Template", and a pop up will appear. Click "OK" to save the file.

Step 5: Return to the admin portal's "Manage Notification" tab and select the desired project. Upload the CSV file containing the bulk resident data by clicking on "Choose File" and then the "Upload" button.

Note: It's crucial to ensure that residents explicitly consent to receiving notification messages. Before creating accounts and subscribing individuals to notifications, ensure you have the proper authorization to do so on their behalf. Consider maintaining a sign-in sheet for residents as part of your project documentation.

If you have authorization to create accounts and subscribe residents to notifications, check the box, click "Continue" and the resident accounts will be created and shown in the table.

Note: In case of incorrect values in any cell, a pop-up will display errors and guide you on rectifying them.
